Building a successful business is no easy feat —and you’re doing it. But the way to sustain that success isn’t to work harder and achieve more. Instead, it’s a planned, intentional step back from your business with a sabbatical.

Time freedom, creative freedom, freedom from other people's expectations…
But here you are — you’re your own boss, you get to make all your own decisions, and somehow you’re busier than ever. All day long you give, but never to yourself. And that freedom you built this life for?
looks left
looks right
It’s nowhere to be found.
Instead, you find yourself feeling exhausted, disconnected, and even resentful of this business you know you could love — if only it didn’t drain every last drop of your energy (without giving you what you need in return).
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT, AND IT’S NOT THIS.
YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WANT,
AND IT’S NOT THIS.
In the back of your mind, you know the path you’re on has only one destination: burnout.
Or maybe you’re already holding the box of matches, ready to burn it all down.
The self-doubt is always creeping in when you try to take action, and you can’t shake the fear that you can’t keep this up.
The self-doubt and fear are there for you too, but instead of becoming paralyzed by them — they send you into overdrive.
More work. More clients. More projects. More courses. More coaching.
More. More. MORE.
Until you just… can’t.
HERE’S WHAT CAPITALISM DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW:
HERE’S WHAT CAPITALISM
DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW:
Yes, it probably would be easier if the answer to your impending (or already present) burnout were just adding…
More strategy
More skills
More tactics
More knowledge
More “self-care”
But putting more on your plate in search of “greater success” and the “everything is finally easy!” feeling you’re looking for will never be the answer.

BUT THIS IS THE ANSWER:
Stepping back puts that fire out.
Specifically, stepping back from your laundry list of to-dos. From always being “on.” From another week of living life overscheduled, saying “yes” when you know you should be saying “no,” and the now-habitual midnight email check.
But I’m not here to suggest a vacation. Because vacations, while nice (and necessary!), don’t change things for the vacationer. You come back and slide right back into the same routines, the same stress, the same hamster wheel.
And the cycle starts again.

You need a sabbatical.
“Time off” isn’t the solution. A “fun getaway” isn’t either. Sure, both can leave you feeling refreshed — but they don’t help you deal with any of the deeper stuff. The stuff that’s keeping you stuck, circling your seemingly inevitable final destination: total and complete burnout.
A sabbatical, on the other hand, allows you to figure out where there is alignment (and misalignment!) in your life right now — and do something about it.
It becomes a sacred portal into deep transformation — not something to increase your productivity, but rather, to increase your awareness of yourself.
This is a chance to remember who you are outside of what you produce.
Will it be easy? I won’t lie to you — no, it won’t be.
But I can promise you it will be worth it.
And because no new challenge should be undertaken alone,
I founded…

A 7-month guided experience to help solopreneurs
reclaim rest and self-trust in community by preparing for,
taking, and integrating a month-long sabbatical in 2026.

And because no new challenge should be undertaken alone, I’m thrilled to invite you to join me in…

A 7-month guided experience to help solopreneurs reclaim rest and self-trust in community by preparing for,
taking, and integrating a month-long sabbatical in 2026.
THIS PLANNED, INTENTIONAL PAUSE WILL HELP YOU…
and make that healing stick, because Sabbatical School will help you integrate the wisdom and insights of your time away — leading to real, lasting change in your life and business.
when you're not producing. When you have space to take care of your human body and feel what it’s like to exist without the never-ending to-do list, the busyness, and the pressure to perform.
with the “you” you are right now and turn that realignment into actionable changes — so that the life and business you step into after your sabbatical feel fully transformed.

MONTH 1: FINANCIAL FOUNDATIONS
The first step we’ll take together is preparing your finances for your month away. We’ll learn from guest teacher and money coach Linzy Bonham, calculate your bare minimum funding goal, and create your personal funding strategy.
In my experience as a Sabbatical Coach, I’ve seen that clients are typically able to save for their sabbatical in six months without significant strain, and with the tools and learnings we’ll explore together in our first month together, I’m confident you’ll be on that same savings path and sabbatical-ready by month 6.
(Want to know how we'll help you do it? Watch this behind-the-scenes video to see the financial tools and strategies we'll teach you how to use during Month 1 of Sabbatical School!)

MONTH 2: TRANSFORM YOUR MINDSET
Next, we’ll begin exploring mindset blocks around taking a sabbatical (Is it selfish? Is it lazy? Is it even worth it?) and start to unravel the stories we’ve internalized about time — and how we “should” and “shouldn’t” use it.
To complement this deeper, internal work, we’ll also look practically at how you’re spending your time with a Time Analysis, which allows you to fully understand where your time actually goes — a critical step to preparing yourself to step away from your business.

MONTH 3: COMMUNICATE THE PLAN
By the third month, it’s time to tell your community that it’s happening — you’re taking a sabbatical. We’ll share scripts and templates to make this communication simple and strategic, and be here to help you process when people respond in… let’s just say unhelpful ways.
(Because there’s going to be at least one person in your life who’s convinced you've been body snatched by a lazy alien — believe me.)
You’ll have the support you need to build trust, set boundaries, and understand what support your clients will need while you’re on sabbatical.

MONTH 4: BUILDING SUSTAINABLE SYSTEMS
Then, we’ll dig further into the practical side of taking a sabbatical and use your Time Analysis to uncover which systems your business needs so it can run without you for a month.
You’ll get a clear picture of what’s working — and not working — in your business, where the gaps are, and where your energy is being wasted. Not only will this help you set up effective systems to keep things running without you, but you’ll also gain strategies and support to help your business long-term.

MONTH 5: DESIGN THE EXPERIENCE
Once we hit month five, you’re officially one month away from taking your sabbatical — so it’s time to prepare for what I like to call the altered-state experience.
You’ll set intentions and clarify the type of sabbatical you plan to take — a project sabbatical, an adventure sabbatical, a healing sabbatical, or a timeless sabbatical — as well as create a re-entry plan for your return.
(Psssst… we go deeper into these concepts on the Sabbatical School Podcast! Learn about the altered-state experience in Episode 7 and the four types of sabbaticals in Episode 8. Highly recommend tuning in!)

MONTH 6: TAKE YOUR SABBATICAL
During the sixth month, we’ll collectively take our month-long sabbaticals. You’ll rest, reflect, and explore in the experience of your own design.
Throughout your sabbatical, you’ll track your emotions and insights and optionally connect with the community via virtual check-in calls — but the time is yours to use and, later, learn from.
(Worried that July isn't the right time for you and/or don't feel like you can take a full four weeks? No worries! We'll have options to support your timeline and timeframe — ensuring your sabbatical experience truly works for you.)

MONTH 7: INTEGRATION
In order to carry the insights you gleaned during your sabbatical back into your “real life,” there needs to be an intentional integration period — and that happens in our final month together.
Our guided process starts with the re-entry plan you previously outlined, which is there to keep you from stepping straight into the deep end of your day-to-day reality.
We’ll help you create —and use! — an action plan that enables you to live your life differently upon your return, using all that you’ve uncovered and recovered during your time away.
This month is how we make sure your sabbatical doesn’t just leave you feeling rested, but actually transforms you in ways that stick around even after you go back to work.
THIS IS HOW WE’LL DO IT
Dive into the month’s theme and work alongside the community to take action on your journey.
OFFICE HOURS
Get live coaching and/or co-working each week, with optional check-ins during your Sabbatical.
TOOLS
Use program-provided workbooks, templates, and tools that guide you through your action steps.
All with just a 1-2 hour a week time commitment from you.
Because we know you don’t have the time or capacity to take giant steps 24/7, we designed Sabbatical School to guide you through a sustainable, measured process that puts everything in place for your time away, without burning you out in the process. (Because that would defeat the whole purpose, wouldn’t it?)

MEET YOUR SABBATICAL COACH
As a former therapist and current Sabbatical Coach, spiritual guide, and business mentor, I’ve seen — and experienced — the power of an intentional, restorative sabbatical.
But that’s not the only reason I’m deeply passionate about helping you take a sabbatical next year (and every year that follows).
I’m also here to invite you to join me as we start a movement.
We exist in a culture that worships productivity and measures our worth by our output, the dollars in our bank accounts, and the prestige of our accomplishments.
And whether we know it or not, we’ve internalized that very belief system — and this is what keeps capitalism running.
The system depends on us staying busy, exhausted, and compliant. But what if we didn’t?
While taking a sabbatical is a privilege, it is not selfish.
The truth is, your sabbatical will be an act of rebellion. And when you do the work of preparing for and taking your sabbatical publicly and unapologetically, it becomes contagious.
People notice. They start to question their own patterns.
You give them permission to imagine a different way to live and work.
And that’s how your sabbatical — just your one, singular sabbatical — becomes a collective act of rebellion.
I’m here to partner with you in starting this rebellion — and also to help you, as an individual human being, personally heal from the wounds of capitalism and colonization through your own personal sabbatical.
Sabbatical School is the beginning of a movement that asks us to take a stand against a culture that profits by keeping us exhausted.
Together, we’ll carve a new path forward, for ourselves and the collective — starting with you first sabbatical.

CLIENTS LOVE WORKING WITH ME BECAUSE I…
Ask powerful questions that prompt you to look inward and give you space to think deeply, reflect, and evolve
Bring a humanistic approach to business that sees and honors the complexity of your life
Create an environment that feels both safe and supportive, but also the good kind of challenging
Strike the balance between the practical and the spiritual, sacred parts of your entrepreneurial experience
Have a personality that’s best described as wise, witchy, funny, and incredibly supportive
Cultivate feel-good communities of aligned individuals — the kind that are hard to find and even harder to leave
My first sabbatical experience came back in 2018 when I was one bad day away from burning my business down — a business that was, by all accounts, a thriving success, at least according to the traditional metrics.
But though I was tempted to throw in the towel, I took a step back instead. An emergency sabbatical — a whole month away from my therapy group practice, all with zero plans and zero preparation.
business
I got clear on what I needed to change and where I wanted to go — and I had the energy to implement those changes upon my return.
burnout
I could feel my physical body recovering from the stress it’d been stuck in, and my creativity slowly returned. I finally felt like me again.
path forward
There were so many aha moments about the areas of misalignment in my life and business — and what I needed to do to bring myself back into balance.

“BUT IS THIS RIGHT FOR ME?”
If there’s a fear festering below the surface that, while you’re away, things will fall apart… you’re not the only one.
The idea of intentionally stepping away, of saying “I choose to do less in a world that wants me to make more,” often elicits feelings of losing control, becoming invisible, losing yourself, and falling behind.
But this is how capitalism has rooted itself in your subconscious. These are the wounds of the oppressive systems that keep us chained to our work and our constant state of production.
This way of thinking — of being — can end here.
You are not a robot, not a machine. You are a part of nature.
And nature? She moves in cycles. Cycles of growth and decay, expansion and integration.
A sabbatical is one way to bring these natural seasons to your business — a business that, I promise you, can survive without you for a month.
(If your brain is screaming “Okay, but how?!” — be sure to give Episode 3 of the Sabbatical School Podcast a listen! We dig into the stems your business needs so you can step away without falling behind.)
I see these same results time and again for myself in my own sabbatical practice,
and for the many clients I have guided and coached through the process as well.
And when you commit to taking a sabbatical, I fully expect you to see these results too:
With a month away, you’ll finally have the space to fully downshift out of the near-constant activated state you currently exist in.
A sabbatical gives you a chance to reset your system and feel calm, grounded, present — even after you return to work.
And from this place of steadiness, you’ll reenter your business with the gifts of clearer thinking, more effective communication, and better decision-making at your side.
Depending on how depleted your energy levels are as you begin your sabbatical, you may spend the first couple of weeks in deep rest mode.
But once you’ve returned to a solid baseline state, you can begin recharging in more meaningful ways.
You’ll surprise yourself with what pops into your head. With what you really want to spend your time on. There will be moments of delight, and rabbit holes of curiosity, and maybe even long stretches of time when all you do is admire the trees as they dance in the wind.
You might even start to feel excitement about your work again — and see this energy ripple into everything that comes next.
When you step away from your to-do list — like really, truly step away — you start to notice what feels life-giving and what feels draining.
You discover who you are at this moment in your life, and are able to start defining what alignment looks like for this season of your life and work.
After your sabbatical, we’ll work together to help you turn that alignment into actionable changes, so that the life and business you step into upon your return feel transformed.
Maybe something new is trying to come through for you, right at this very moment, but your life feels too noisy to hear what it is.
Big ideas need space to emerge, and your sabbatical gives you that space.
And while I can't promise that you'll have an amazing idea for a new book or offer or direction for your business during your sabbatical… I do feel confident that something will become clear during that time — and it will unlock the door to the next chapter of your life.
“MAYBE IT WORKED FOR YOU — BUT FOR ME? NO WAY…”
“MAYBE IT WORKED FOR YOU
— BUT FOR ME? NO WAY…”
This is very likely exactly what you need.
That immediate, deep-in-your-gut reaction you had as you scrolled down this page?
That means there’s an awakening happening inside you.
Your subconscious conditioning tells you that a sabbatical would be irresponsible or selfish or simply impossible. And when that conditioning rubs against the inner knowing that you need this? That friction is uncomfortable.
Because unlike your typical business investments that teach cut-and-dry systems and strategies to scale your growth, Sabbatical School is giving you something different. Something deeper.
So you can’t just make this decision with your logical mind. The choice to say yes to a sabbatical is one you’ll make — and feel! — with your whole being.

THE BOTTOM LINE IS THIS:
OR
Sabbatical School is for you.
The stronger the resistance, the more deeply rooted the belief that you are what you achieve. And the deeper the belief, the more you likely need the restorative realignment you can gain from a sabbatical.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We will share the call schedule as we finalize dates for this upcoming cohort. We’d love for you to attend live, but of course, life happens (and time zones are real!), so we’ve set Sabbatical School up to be supportive whether you can join the calls or you need to catch the replays. All sessions will be recorded, and you’ll always be invited to pre-submit questions before class — that way, you can get the support you need no matter how you participate.
While we’ve structured Sabbatical School with the purpose of supporting you with a sabbatical during the final month of our program, you can absolutely use the curriculum and the included resources to create a different schedule. You might still participate in thegroup sessions during our sabbatical and integration months, or save the replays for when they are applicable to you as you follow your own sabbatical timeline.
We get it! Sometimes things don’t go as planned. You can absolutely continue your sabbatical preparations alongside us and then proceed on your own timeline. Your access to the curriculum does not expire — so you can revisit it as needed as well.
Plan for 1-2 hours per week to prepare for and, later, integrate your sabbatical experience. This includes our monthly 2-hour workshops, optional weekly office hours, and time for workbook exercises.
This cohort of Sabbatical School is specifically designed for solopreneurs or business owners with tiny teams of just 1-3 people. If you lead a larger team and would like support in taking a sabbatical, I do offer 1:1 sabbatical coaching. You can reach out to learn more about that here.
A pull. A feeling. A knowing.
Some part of you is saying, “This. This is what I need.” But maybe there’s also a part of you saying, “But I couldn’t. Not really. It would just be too hard.”
I wish you could hear me right now as I say this:
Yes, you can. You really, truly can! And if not now… when?
Life will never be simpler. Your clients will never need you less. The obstacles will never be fewer. Truthfully? Taking a full month away from your business will always be hard.
But some hard things are worth doing.
And when you can do that hard thing with support like this?
There truly isn’t a better time to take the first step and…
